– flotation therapy
How should I prepare?
You should not shave or wax your skin just before flotation. The Epsom salt will sting the irritated skin. There is Vaseline available that you can use to cover small cuts or scratches. Please don’t use any skin or hair products before you enter the tank, and avoid drinking coffee in the hour prior to the treatment.
Should I bring anything?
No, you should just bring yourself. You can bring a swimsuit, but most people prefer to float without clothes because it gives the most undisturbed experience. We provide shampoo, towels, and earplugs.
May I eat before I float?
In the hours prior to flotation, it is best to eat light. You should drink only water; it is important to avoid coffee.
Will I drown if I fall asleep?
No. Some people do fall asleep, but the salinity of the water is so high that everyone floats on the surface, regardless of size and fitness level.
Is the water completely clean?
Absolutely. It is cleaner than any swimming pool you have ever been in. The Epsom salt creates an environment that is 100 percent sterile, and the water is rinsed through filters 10 times between each float.
What is Epsom salt?
Epsom salt, also known as magnesium sulfate, is a mineral that has been proven to help the body detox, to increase immune system strength, and to trigger endorphins. It helps decrease the level of the stress hormone adrenalin, and helps the body arrive at a more balanced and relaxed state.
Does the float tank cause feelings of claustrophobia?
No, it doesn’t feel claustrophobic. The feeling of floating is closer to finding yourself weightless in an infinite universe where you are perfectly relaxed. If you are nervous, it is important that you talk to us so we can help. You can choose the larger Float Cabin instead of the Float Pod, and you can additionally choose to leave the lights on, to have music playing, and to have the door open if you wish. Additionally, you can start by trying a pair-float together with someone you know and trust.
What if I have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the treatment?
You should get out of the tank, rinse the salt off in the shower, put clothes on, and go out to the bathroom. Remember to take a shower again before you return to your floating pod.
What about my hair and my skin?
You should avoid shaving and waxing right before the treatment, because the salt will sting that skin. If you get your hair dyed or if you use self-tanner on your skin, then you should wait a week before floating to give the color a chance to set.
Can everyone float?
If you suffer from a serious illness such as epilepsy, incontinence, or a serious skin disease, you unfortunately are not allowed to float.
What if I am pregnant?
For most pregnant women, floating is a great way to de-stress the body. If you are nervous or in doubt, please consult your doctor.
How often should I float?
Most people experience positive changes after 3-5 treatments. However, the body’s reaction to flotation therapy is very individual. You should expect, though, that during the first treatment you may not experience total relaxation, as there are many new sensations in the tank that you will have to get used to.
– infrared sauna
How should I prepare?
Because you will sweat, it is important that you drink ample water before and after your treatment in the sauna.

In the hours prior to using the infrared sauna, it is best to eat light. You should drink only water; it is important to avoid coffee.
What if I get too warm?
Then you should leave the sauna until you are sufficiently cooled down to continue the treatment. Because the air doesn’t warm up like in a traditional sauna, the temperature will be lower. However, the infrared rays do warm up the body’s core temperature like in a traditional sauna.
What does the treatment in an infrared sauna feel like?
The infrared sauna warms the body up slowly and comfortably, and most will find the treatment relaxing and pleasant. Typically, it will take 10-15 minutes before you begin to sweat. After that, most people will have a pleasant and relaxing feeling in their body, a bit like when you have been physically active.
Should I take a shower afterwards?
Most manufacturers of infrared saunas recommend that the body has time to cool down on its own. But if you don’t find that comfortable, you can take a shower when you get home.
What should I do right after the treatment?
You should relax in our lounge with a glass of water or a hot cup of tea. Give yourself the extra minutes that it takes for your body to recover. While cooling down, you can be glad that the increased body temperature will cause your body to burn extra calories for up to an hour after the treatment.
Can I combine sauna with other treatments?
Yes. Most people prefer to start out with the sauna or with the recovery boots, and afterwards finish with floatation. If you’d like to try it all, we recommend starting with recovery boots, then heading to the infrared sauna, and floating last.
How often should I use the infrared sauna?
There is no limit for how often you may use the infrared sauna. One treatment should be no longer than a half hour at a time, and most people prefer 1-2 treatments per week.
Can everyone use the infrared sauna?
We don´t recommend pregnant and breastfeeding women to use infrared sauna, and if you have a pacemaker you should avoid the infrared light too.
