So, how does red light therapy work?

Many people in Denmark don’t get enough natural light, especially those who work indoors. Fortunately, there are a few different ways to solve this problem, and one of them is red light therapy. We’re happy to offer light therapy as one of the treatment options at Pause Recovery Studio.
At PAUSE Recovery Studio, you’ll get light therapy in a light chamber using red light, which can stimulate your body all the way down to the cellular level, up to 20mm beneath the skin. The red light used in red light therapy is different from the ultraviolet rays that come from the sun. It’s not harmful. The light cabin is from Finnish manufacturer CTN and uses red light and near-infrared light (NIR) for therapy. It looks like a tanning bed, but it doesn’t emit any harmful UV rays.
What should I do to get ready?
There’s no need to prepare before your red light therapy session. Just come as you are.
Can I use light therapy as often as I like?
You can use red light therapy every day if you want, but for the best results, the manufacturer suggests doing a course of 5 sessions during the first week, followed by 2 sessions per week.
The treatment takes about 8 to 10 minutes. Research suggests that longer sessions may not be as beneficial as shorter ones.
